Stock Markets 101 Course Overview
About This Course
Now that you have some background information, let’s get into what you will actually be learning in this course. This specific course, Stock Markets 101, is designed for complete beginners in the investment world.
I assume you have very little knowledge about investing, just that there is a stock market and people put money into it. But this course can still be beneficial for investors at any stage of their career. There is always the possibility that you learn something new that makes you a better investor.
The Purpose of This Course
The objective of this course is to teach you about the basics of the stock market and investing. Then we will build upon in the next course Stock Markets 201: Slightly More Advanced Basics.
Course Layout
This course is made up of sections that are broken down into individual topics. Each topic includes a text portion, a video to watch, key terms, extra resources for more in-depth research, quiz questions to help you retain key information and interactive review content to really cement the information in your brain.

We provide the material in a variety of ways because everyone learns a little differently. There will be some overlap between videos and the text, but this is done to really drive home the information.
They say it takes seven times or more of hearing something for it to really stick in your brain. Remember, this course is to benefit you. However fast or slow you need to go through it to retain as much information as possible is completely up to you.
Learn and Understand the Material
You should strive to UNDERSTAND the material, not just memorize it. This isn’t like studying for an exam in school where you cram the night before a test, and as soon as it is over, you forget everything you had learned.
While that method can help you pass a test, it does not help you truly learn the material. This information will be useful for your entire life, and I want you to retain what you learn!
Other Content Creators’ Videos
I have spent thousands of hours going through YouTube videos and taking notes to find the very best ones, the best in the quality of their content as well as how it is presented. Just because something has great information doesn’t mean it is presented in a way that a beginner can understand, so I had to weed out all those as well.
I am not an expert in video creation, so if someone can make a video better than me and it helps you learn, that is perfect. My goal is to provide you with the best content, and we are never trying to claim other content creators’ work as our own.
If you really like a specific video, content creator, or website, be sure to like, share, and follow them. They deserve credit for their work, and we, in no shape or form, are trying to take that from them. Quite the opposite, we are trying to help bring awareness and followers to them!
In some sections where I could not find a great quality video, I made the video myself (this applies more to other courses). I am no expert in that either, and I apologize for the videos not being of professional quality. I am always learning how to improve them for a better experience for our members.
No Matter Your Investing Level, Start with This Course
I recommend this to be everyone’s first course here at Haas Trade. You may feel like you know it all, but there could be one key piece of information that you were unaware of that could greatly benefit you.
Upon completion of this course, it is recommended that everyone moves onto the Stock Markets 201 course to learn more in-depth about the stock market. After completing Stock Markets 201 it is recommended that you move onto Stock Markets 301 to learn what the next step of your path should be.
After that, it is up to you to choose what direction you are looking to go—do you want to head more into the investing side or more into the day trading side?
I do recommend learning about investing even if you are planning on doing day trading. Day trading is very risky, and I would recommend investing at the same time.
Then in the event day trading is not going well and you blow up your account (lose all your money in it), you will not have lost all the money you have. Most day traders are also investors, including me.
