Our Story

Hello! I am Nathan Haas the founder and CEO of Haas Trade. 

My “hobby” of investing really turned into an obsession a few years ago. I graduated college with over $100,000 in debt and I was tired of paying over $1,000 a month and barely making a dent because of the interest.

I felt like my student loans were preventing me from starting my life. I was unable to purchase a car, buy a house or afford to have kids. I wanted my loans to be paid off, right now, not in 30 years.

I have a feeling many of you are here for the same exact reason.

First Attempts at Day Trading

My desire to pay off my loans as fast as possible lead me down a rough road. I started listening to people on the internet who promised me they had secret investing techniques guaranteed to make me tens of thousands of dollars.

All I had to do was pay them a few hundred dollars and all the secrets would be mine! I was desperate so I fell for it. I paid them and in return I received generic information or misleading information, such as being told to invest in penny stocks. 

I quickly learned that the internet, especially when it relates to finance, is full of scammers. They prey on desperate people by promising them get rich quick schemes. But the only one who gets rich is them!

Frustrated for paying those people and my own stupidity for believing it, I changed course and started Day Trading. With 0 experience and guidance I once again lost my money. 

So far in my quest to pay off my loans I had only managed to LOSE money.

It was at this point that I realized the issue was I had zero structure. 

So I buckled down and created my own financial plan. By sticking to my personalized financial plan, I was able to pay off those loans (way faster than the 30 year projection!) and had a giant weight lifted off of my shoulders. 

That financial plan I created for myself would later morph turn into our Blueprint to Financial FreedomTM  which is a foundational building block of Haas Trade.

Now I am on a mission to help others who are struggling just like I was. I have been there, I have had the stress, the worries about bills, and the sleepless nights but I want you to know there is hope!

Our courses and coaching programs are designed to help others avoid the same costly mistakes, build confidence in themselves, take back control of their finances, and ultimately take back control of their life.

I firmly believe with our coaching programs and online courses, anyone can take control of their finances and achieve their financial goals.

Nathan Haas

Founder &
Chief Executive Officer

I graduated from the University of Iowa (Go Hawks!) with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, and am also a 2nd LT Civil Engineering Officer in the Air National Guard. 

Before Haas Trade I was an Airport Civil Engineer, which means I used to design airports. I love aviation and thought civil engineering was really cool so it was a good fit. But my true passion was always helping people, and educating people about about finance.

When I am not working you can find me hanging out with my beautiful wife Juliana, our sons, Giovanni and Vincent, and our three cats. 

For hobbies, I love anything that I can drive. Such as four wheelers, UTV’s, jet skis, boats, cars, tractors, and planes (I have my pilots license) and I would love to have my own plane someday! I also enjoy learning, reading, hiking, traveling and being involved in our local church. 

And of course, I love to teach people about personal finance, investing, and Day Trading!

Bryan Haas

Co-Founder &
Chief Financial Officer

Currently, I am only working with Haas Trade part time as we work on getting everything up and running, during the day I am a Senior Operations Engineer for an Aerospace Manufacturer where I live in Northern Illinois. Along with Haas Trade and my engineering job I am also working on completing my MBA and considering working towards becoming a Certified Public Accountant.  

I graduated from a local private university, Rockford University with a Bachelor of Science in Management Studies while working a full-time job and I am currently pursuing an MBA from the University of Wisconsin.  

When I am not working or studying, I like to spend my time hanging out with my wife and daughter and working on projects around the house and I’ve been playing with 3D modeling and 3D printing lately. We also love hiking and biking at a local park that is close to our house or just hanging out and grilling with our neighbors.  

Caroline Banton

I’m Caroline Banton, a Pennsylvania-based freelance writer. I create content on many subjects, but my focus is personal finance and investing. I am proud to have the opportunity to create educational content for Haas Trade and to make the world of investing a more accessible one.

I also write articles, blogs, and books. I ghostwrite biographies and marketing books for a company called StoryTerrace and ghostwrite marketing books for entrepreneurs for a company called Paperback Expert. 

I am originally from Manchester, England. I craved adventure and found my way to Washington, D.C. early in my career. There, I worked for the World Bank and gained an MBA from Johns Hopkins University. Currently, I write unremittingly from my home in central Pennsylvania. I’m an animal lover, so when I close my laptop, I love exploring the nearby hiking trails with my dog, Addy and riding an Irish Sports Horse called Trey.
